I would like to volunteer so how can I get involved?

Volunteer opportunities are generally posted on our facebook. You can also send an email to kumfa.volunteer@gmail.com.

I would like to donate, what kind of donations does KUMFA need?

KUMFA is always happy to receive second hand women’s and children’s clothing in good condition, as well as books, toys, and household appliances/goods that would be helpful for moms who are trying to gain financial independence.

I some things I want to donate to KUMFA. Where can I drop them off or mail them to?

Donations can be mailed to or dropped off at:

5th floor, 46 Yeonhuimat-ro
Seodaemun-gu, Seoul
Tel: 010-3434-2344

서울시 서대문구 연희맛로46 5층
Tel: 010-3434-2344

I want to donate furniture or other items large items. Can KUMFA come to pick up such items?

Since only one of the moms has a car, pickups are very difficult, but please contact one of the admins on our Facebook page to inquire if a pick up is possible. There are also a couple of volunteers in Seoul with cars who may be able to pick up large items. For large furniture donations, please send photos to the admin (along with address and phone number and convenient pick up days/times) so they can post it to the moms’ homepage so that individual moms who need such items can arrange a moving truck on their own.

I want to make a monetary donation, is that possible?

As a grassroots organization, KUMFA is thankful for all monetary donations that are given in order to help with its operational costs.

I want to work in solidarity with single moms. What can I do?

KUMFA has offline meetings every month and we’re always looking for volunteers to help babysit kids while their moms are receiving educational training or listening to seminars. Times and locations vary, so please stay up to date on our Facebook page. Long-term commitment or Korean language skills are not required.

In addition, on Korean holidays and various times throughout the year, the moms and kids go on overnight trips and we need volunteers to help watch children for those trips.

KUMFA also currently provides English classes for moms and kids every Sunday from 10am-11:30am. If you are interested in volunteering as an English teacher, please contact using the info below.
