This is our 15th year organizing a holiday gift drive for the children of KUMFA. This year we sponsoring a total of 260 children! (Please note family #72 is for two children) In order to get all the gifts ordered and delivered before Santa arrives, we need to find donors by December 15th!!
HOW TO SPONSOR A KUMFA FAMILY:
1. First, decide which family you would like to sponsor. While sponsoring a gift is $50USD, due to the currency exchange rate, the Korean donation amount is just over 70,000KRW, so if you are sending your donation via Korean bank transfer, please send 70,000KRW. Thank you for your understanding.
2. Second, send an email to [email protected] saying which family you would like to sponsor a gift for (please provide the family number). This is important in order to ensure that we don’t duplicate sponsors for children. Please be sure to indicate your METHOD of donation in your email (see #3 below) so that receipt of your donation can be verified.
3. Third, you may send your donation in one of two ways: either send $50 to the KUMFA Paypal address, which is [email protected] (if your Paypal name is different from your email, please let me know in your email) OR if you are in Korea and don’t have Paypal, you may also transfer 70,000 KRW to: Shinhan Bank (신한은행) Account number: 110-403-352377 Name: HEIT SHANNON NELL
**Please note that we no longer allow people to send gifts or notes directly to KUMFA families, in order to protect their private information. While we appreciate people’s desires to connect with KUMFA moms and children personally, we hope you can understand the need to ensure their safety through this donation method. We have also had people inquire about continuing to sponsor their wishlist family after the end of this gift drive. However, we have not yet found a way to do this in a way that is fair if only some families are receiving this sponsorship, post-gift drive. In other words, we do not want to your good intentions to create any strife between families. Suffice it to say, we continue to be touched by KUMFA’s supporters boundless generosity and support, thank you!!**
Finally, the website post will be updated every day. The gifts that have already found a sponsor will be checked off. Thank you again for your support of our gift drive and happy holidays!
